Paul E. Schwartz, MD

In 1978, Dr. Paul E. Schwartz graduated magna cum laude from
the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended
medical school at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota,
graduating in 1982. He interned in general surgery and served
as an orthopaedic surgery resident at the Naval Hospital in
San Diego. In 1990, he became head of orthopaedic surgery
at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico.
He is Certified by the American Board
of Orthopaedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy
of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the California Orthopaedic
Association and the California Medical Association.
Before coming to Redding, Dr. Schwartz was a member of a five-man,
single-specialty group in Owensboro, Kentucky, where he ran
a weekly sports injury clinic for the area schools. Now, a
Redding resident, Dr. Schwartz has two children, Erica and
Brian. He enjoys playing hockey, baseball and many water sports
such as kayaking.
