John Pearson, PA-C/FNP-C


John Pearson has called Redding California his home since moving from Tempe, Arizona in 1976. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was honorably discharged after 6 years of service in 1990. He then attended Shasta College where he earned his Registered Nursing Degree. His experience as a nurse is primarily in the Intensive Care specialty and he maintains a national certification in critical care nursing.

He went on to study at Stanford University where he graduated with licensure as both a Physician Assistant, and a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1998. His experience is in Family Medicine, Emergency medicine, Otolaryngology, and Orthopedics. He now works primarily with Dr. Schwartz in the office and assisting in surgery.

He lives in Redding with his wife Denise, who is also a Physician Assistant, and their two children Chase and Paige. He enjoys many activities that the North State has to offer including kayaking, skiing, and boating. He and his wife also enjoy regular trips to the Napa Valley, and the Southern Oregon Shakespearean Festival in Ashland, Oregon.
