Dan Mallamo obtained his bachelor's degree in physiology at California State University, Sacramento in 1990. He attended the University of California, Davis' physician assistant program, completing his Masters Degree studies and graduating magna cum laude in 1999.

Prior to joining Shasta Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in 2001 Dan had extensive experience in primary care and emergency medicine. Dan has been a resident of Redding since 1983.

He and his wife Shauna enjoy many sports activities including hiking, boating, and mountain bike riding.
