PALS stands for Pediatric Advanced
Life Support. PALS
training provides:
- Information needed to recognize
infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary
arrest.
- Information and strategies
needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants
and children.
- The cognitive and psychomotor
skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants
and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary
arrest.
PALS certification is a voluntary
continuing education program that our nurses complete
on an annual basis as part of our commitment to maintaining
the highest level of care for our pediatric patients.
